COVID-19 forces postponement of P&D Show

COVID-19 forces postponement of P&D Show 1November 23rd and 24th November 2021 confirmed as new dates for the trades annual showcase.

The organisers of the National Painting Decorating Show have announced the postponement this year’s event due to the continuing uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Said Terry Dullaway, who heads up the show “Over recent months we have been closely monitoring the likely impact of COVID-19 on this year’s event. Naturally we had been hoping that the show could take place in November; however, it seems very likely that social distancing measures will be with us for many months to come.

As a result, and with regret, we have decided to postpone this year’s event. The next National Painting and Decorating Show will now take place on 23rd and 24th November 2021 at Ricoh Arena, Coventry.

Social distancing restrictions, the continuing uncertainty concerning the future of mass gatherings, and the importance we place on the health and safety of exhibitors, visitors and our staff alike, have shaped our decision.

In addition to this, we have taken a number of other considerations into account. These relate to pre-planning activities by exhibitors in terms of stand design, product launches, staffing and marketing, all of which can involve considerable time and expense. As a result, we felt it was important to mitigate these factors by making an early decision. We also felt that visitors – last year we had over 3500 – would be unable to enjoy the same level of interaction with exhibitors that the National Painting and Decorating Show is renowned for.”

He confirmed that anyone who has already pre-registered for this year’s event will be contacted and commented “We are already making plans to ensure the 2021 Show will be the best in the exhibition’s 27 year history.”
